The Finchingfield Lion
Characterful village pub known for wood-fired pizzas and smoked BBQ. Open every day (noon–11pm, to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays), with food from noon to 9pm. There’s no table booking, so just turn up and find a table. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the bar and the enclosed garden (not in the bedrooms). Four en-suite rooms upstairs; breakfast isn’t included, but there are cafés in the village.
The Three Tuns
Up Church Hill — a local favourite for real ale, home-cooked food, Sunday roasts and a proper village-pub atmosphere. Typically opens late afternoon on Mondays and Tuesdays and from noon Wed–Sun — check before you travel.
Winners of Finchingfield
Cosy coffee shop and restaurant on the green: barista coffee, all-day brunch, homemade cakes, afternoon tea and a fully licensed bar. Typically open daily 9am–4pm — confirm on the day.
The Picture Pot
Friendly village tearoom for breakfast, lunch, cream teas and homemade cakes — a classic stop after a walk around the pond. Usually open Wed–Sat 10am–4pm and Sun 10am–3pm; ring ahead before visiting on a Monday or Tuesday.
Zafra Pasta Bar & Grill
Fresh pasta, fish and steaks overlooking the village green — a popular option for a sit-down meal after exploring. Hours vary through the week and some days are closed — book or check ahead.

Finchingfield Post Office
Village shop and Post Office (Finchingfield Post Office & Stores) with everyday groceries and local produce from East Anglian farms and producers, including beef, pork and locally made gins. Open Mon–Fri 9am–5pm and Saturday 9–11am; closed Sundays. Cash withdrawals and deposits, and euros and US dollars over the counter. It’s a ‘Local Plus’ branch, so it doesn’t offer passport, DVLA or identity services.
Finchingfield Antiques Centre
Antiques centre on the green specialising in clocks and watches, with stock from local dealers: fine English and French antique clocks, vintage watches, quality second-hand jewellery, art and some furniture, plus a small boutique of vintage and designer clothing. Clocks and watches are serviced and repaired in-house. Usually open Mon–Wed and Fri 10am–4pm and Sat 10am–3pm; closed Thursdays and Sundays.
Finchingfield Camping
Countryside camping and glamping with seasonal lavender and wildflower meadow day visits just outside the village.

Millie’s Cottage
Beamed two-bedroom holiday cottage on the historic Causeway near the windmill, with views over the village green and duck pond, an inglenook fireplace and a rear garden. Book direct through the cottage’s own website. Note: many steps and steep stairs, so not suitable for anyone with restricted mobility.
